Joshua Tree National Park

After exploring the area north of Joshua Tree National Park, we had intended to drive through the park to return to Interstate 10. However, we encountered a couple signs suggesting (but not clearly stating) that the southern park entrance/exit was not accessible. As the sun set, we turned around and headed north for the long way around the park.

Google maps says this road goes through. I'll believe the signs. No room to turn around, so I had to drive back a mile in reverse

A 500 foot drop in elevation put me into the clouds.

Winding

As I wind through the Ozarks, I wish I had a navigation app that would call out the upcoming curves and hazards like a rally car navigator. Traveling at the posted speed limit is often much faster than reasonable and prudent.
