The Stand offers fresh fast food in north Phoenix. Their menu is limited but I've found more than enough awesomeness in what we've tried so far that I don't need more options.
We visited The Stand because I'd heard it was one of the best places to get burgers in Phoenix. We weren't quite hungry for a meal, but we were in the area and didn't want to let an opportunity to try The Stand pass us by. So we stopped and ordered a couple milkshakes, a burger, some fries, and elote as a snack for everyone in the car to share. We cut the burger into quarters and passed the rest of the food around. The burger was fresh and tasty. The milkshakes were delicious. The fries were like homemade fries -- including the grease. However, the best part was an unexpected treat: the
elote street corn. I'd go out of my way for just the elote.
